Hi, I'm Jackie!

Lifelong retailer. Wife. Mom of three girls. Razorback at heart. Tennessee Vol by choice.

I was born a Walmart brat, so I suppose retail was in my blood long before I had any say in the matter. Some little girls dreamed of becoming doctors or teachers. Apparently, I was destined for pretty displays, gift wrapping, and a lifelong love affair with retail.

And here we are, more than 22 years later!

My husband and I have owned multiple retail stores over the years, including my personal favorite era, a full-service dancewear store (and let me tell you, that's a world of its own!). I've also operated a personalized gift storefront online for more than 13 years.

I've spent a good portion of my life helping people celebrate everything from first dance recitals to life's biggest milestones. If there's an occasion worth celebrating, chances are I've found a reason to put a bow on it. And probably spent entirely too much time and money choosing the ribbon.

A Little Life Outside Retail

My husband of 22 years and I have three girls who keep life anything but boring. Between dance, cheer, soccer, volleyball, Friday night lights, college life, and football Saturdays, there's rarely a dull moment.

We've experienced some incredible seasons and some difficult ones, too. Through it all, faith and family have remained at the center of everything. I love Jesus, good coffee, my family fiercely, and I'm a writer at heart with a little sarcasm thrown in for good measure.

We're Arkansas Razorbacks through and through, but somewhere along the way, we traded the Natural State for the Volunteer State and fell in love with Rocky Top. We still call the Hogs, but we cheer for the Vols, too. When they play each other, let's just say the family group chat gets interesting!

The Heart Behind House & Hill

After more than two decades in retail, you'd think I'd be ready to slow down. Apparently not!

House & Hill is my newest chapter, bringing together my love for personalized gifts, college traditions, Greek life, game days, and all the little moments worth celebrating.

And this chapter is especially meaningful because of my oldest daughter, Anna Claire. She brings the fresh ideas and a younger perspective, while I bring the retail experience and an unreasonable ribbon budget. I love the thought of building something that might one day become ours, a little bit of my retail roots mixed with her own dreams.

I don't know exactly where House & Hill will take us, but after 22 years in retail, I've learned that the stores and trends may change, but the heart behind what I do never has.

Around here, we're powered by good coffee, Jesus, family, a little Woo Pig Sooie, a whole lot of Rocky Top, and an unreasonable amount of ribbon.
